Elon Musk has taken on the responsibility of expanding internet connectivity to the Red Planet, Mars. Just as Starlink provides internet services across the United States and other parts of the world, Musk and his company, SpaceX, aim to build a similar infrastructure on Mars.

He has already proposed this plan to NASA, and the mission has been named Marslink. Recently, details about this initiative were presented at a meeting of NASA's Mars Exploration Program Analysis Group. During this meeting, Musk's company revealed plans to establish a satellite network in Mars' orbit to create a system for data exchange.

Currently, Starlink satellites provide internet connections in over 102 countries. Musk aims to replicate this exact network on Mars. If Marslink is successfully developed, it will not only improve communication on Mars but also make it easier for Earth and Mars to communicate. It will significantly aid NASA's research endeavors related to Mars as well.
